Even in modern medicine wound healing is still a problem. This relates to chronic wounds as well as to surgical wounds. Based on the fact that there will be no wound healing without activated macrophages the product OXOVASIN/-FERIN was developed./
It is an aequous solution and is applied to the wound after this has been debrided. OXOVASIN/-FERIN penetrates into the wound tissue and activates the macrophages. Initially this results in fighting infection by phagocytosis.
Then healing of the wound is initiated by macrophages activating the respective cells like granulocytes, endothelial and epithelial cells. The result is a healing of the wound by formation of new and well circulated granulation tissue and final closing by formation of new skin by the epithelial cells.
