Transmission Line Speaker Series
In a few weeks time we will introduce the new speaker series designed by Stanley Marquiss. The series will begin with a monitor type transmission line system with very high power handling of 200 Watts peak. This picture shows the prototype. The designated name will be Tempest ONE. The suggested retail price will be below USD 2600. The system has already been used in an ACTIVE ROOM BOUNDARY REFLECTION CONTROL SYSTEM application, where wall mounted large diaphragm professional microphones receive a music signal in a recital hall from an acoustical or electronic musical ensemble. That music signal can then be optimized and actively played back from these Tempest ONE extreme quality room boundary transducers, and thus combined with the normal passive acoustical reflections from the room boundaries: yielding an ideal and instantly correctable TOTAL recital hall acoustic. THE SYSTEM IS NOT a public address system in the conventional sense, but rather an ACTIVE ROOM OR HALL ROOM BOUNDARY REFLECTION CONTROL SYSTEM as noted above. The Tempest ONE can also be used in high end stereophonic applications, or in any A/V surround mode, or further in professional studio monitor applications.
